This is a personalized introduction to Ayurveda. If you're feeling generally healthy and want some tips on boosting your wellness, this is for you. Ayurveda offers so much for preserving the health of the healthy and enhancing well-being (in addition to numerous therapies for disease management). In this session we identify your natural Body Constitution or Prakruti as we call it in Sanskrit. You will learn about the three governing energies known asVata, Pitta and Kapha. By gaining an understanding of your Prakruti along with what Ayurveda recommends for each constitution you will be able to fine tune your foods and exercise routines and set up our daily and seasonal riturals to maintain and enhance your health. ​

Specialty Ayurvedic Assessment | Targeted Wellness

This assessment is recommended for those who are ready to address specific imbalances or are seeking support for chronic conditions. Some of these conditions include Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Crohn's, Cystic Acne, Psoriosis, Eczema, ADD, ADHD, Diabetes, Thyroid Imbalances, PCOD, Kidney / Gallbladder stones, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Gout, Depression, Anxiety, Osteoperosis and fracture management, to name a few. Ayurveda's palliative remedies are found to be supportive during chemothreapy as well as pre & post surgery. This is an in-depth session that will set the foundation for our work together. You can expect to receive a thorough wellness protocol with clear guidance on foods & daily routines; an estimated timeline including follow-up appointments; and recommendations on herbal protocol, healing bodywork or therapeutic yoga/movement, if indicated.

Therapeutic Yoga & Movement Assessment

This initial session is required if you wish to receive private yoga or therapeutic movement sessions and includes assessment of strength, mobility, flexibility and alignment. Yoga as a healing modality always holds mind and body as one so we will also have time to discuss support for the layers that go beyond just our physicality.
The assessment is split into three portions :

an brief intake to understand your health history and goals;

time on the mat for guided postures + observation;

and assisted stretch & testing on the massage table, with time to rest.

Ayurvedic Bodywork | Mind & Body Rejuvenation

These therapies are part of the traditional Indian medical practice and include massage and other aligned techniques to restore balance and promote wellness based on individual doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Beginning with a dosha assessment, treatments such as herbal oil massage, targeted pressure point stimulation, detoxifying and rejuvenation therapies are tailored to each person's unique constitution. These techniques help alleviate toxins, improve circulation, and soothe the nervous system, offering not just physical relaxation but also supporting emotional equilibrium. Ayurvedic bodywork thus nurtures holistic health by harmonizing the body's energies, fostering vitality and overall well-being naturally.

Tailored to individual needs and conditions, Annelize's practice utilizes a variety of yoga techniques such as asanas (poses), pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, and relaxation techniques to address specific physical, mental, or emotional challenges. Whether recovering from injury, managing chronic pain, reducing stress, or enhancing emotional balance, therapeutic yoga provides a supportive environment to explore movement, breath, and mindfulness to promote healing from within. Marma Therapy | Ayurvedic Acupressure

Experience one of Ayurveda's many facets of healing of the subtle systems, Marma therapy or Ayurvedic acupressure. It can be combined with yoga, guided meditation, massage or it can be a stand alone therapeutic session. Similar to acupressure, vital energy points are gently awakened, aiming to harmonize the flow of energy (prana / chi) and alleviate pain, stress, and anxiety. It promotes enhanced circulation, improved joint mobility, and the release of deeply-held emotional tensions, fostering mental clarity and emotional balance. Additionally, by addressing these aspects, marma therapy can contribute to better sleep quality, making it a valuable practice for achieving overall well-being and vitality.

Calm Mind | Guided Meditation
This type of therapeutic session is for those who seek a natural and sustainable way to calm an overactive nervous system. To relievie chronic stress that often manifests as tension headaches, jaw pain, muscle tension, the mind and body must first experience what it feels like to be at ease - there should be frequent practice.

​Your session will include guided mediation in a resting pose on the floor or on the massage table along with sound healing through chanting, sound instruments and breathwork for relaxation. You may request marma therapy or 3-Points Rejuventation (Ayurvedic massage of head, scalp and feet) to be included in your session.
