Yoga & Ayurveda for Healthy Digestion

Yoga and Ayurveda as sister sciences really compliment each other when it comes to supporting our gut health. We often hear 'we are what we eat', but in truth, Ayurveda says 'we are

what we digest'. Makes sense, right?

Our gut health is the entry way to building healthy tissues, having a clear mind and the key to what determines our ability to enjoy life. Digestive disorders are among the most common issues people of all ages face these days. Imagine if you could incorporate some simple practices to change that course? What would your life be like? That's exactly what we'll be learning about -  how to mitigate stress and how to fine tune our habits for good health.

Whether you are curious about learning more for yourself or you are a parent or caregiver for someone who will benefit from this information - I hope you'll join me! The workshop will include yoga practices specifically for digestion, practices for the mind, as well as simple, holistic guidance for daily living. This combination of small things can have a long-lasting benefit on our  quality of life as it all begins with our gut health. I'm really excited to lead this workshop this Fall!

All participants will receive a brief form to complete prior to our workshop - here you may indicate your preferences. Please check your inbox after you register.

(Includes a vegetarian/vegan, Indian-inspired light dinner, non-spicy.)

We'll have herbal tea and a complimentary spice blend for you to take home and use in some recipes we'll be sharing (if you like).

Reset & Revitalize + Intro to Holistic Wellness
Six 1-Hour, Self-Paced Modules (Wellness on Demand)

We all desire a state of balance (mentally, emotionally, physically) and it's the little things we do on a daily basis that can help us move in that direction. Often we know the changes we want or need to make in order to be and feel healthier, yet taking that initial step is what poses a challenge because we're already in the flow of our current life situation. Don't wait until things slow down.... instead, I encourage you to start integrating simple wellbeing practices so that it feels easier to release what isn't needed any longer (stressors, unhealthy habits, etc.)  - all with the intention of revitalization.

Keeping in mind the busy-ness many of us face, I hope this self-paced course helps you  to step your foot into the door, understand what small, yet effective changes you can make for sustaining health.

Each video is just an hour, and can be split over a couple days. Learn the reason behind the wellness recommendations, learn about best foods, sleep hygiene, exercise, meditation and more.

Prenatal Yoga & Wellness Practices

Shakti's Prenatal Yoga is a gentle and effective way for expectant mothers to pause, connect and maintain their flexibility, strength, and balance.

At any stage of pregnancy, a mindful yoga practice offers immense benefits for mother and baby. Our classes will include focused breathing with appropriate yoga poses, as well as elements of guided meditation to reduce stress, promote better sleep, and prepare the mind and body for labor.

Prenatal yoga encourages proper posture, which can help alleviate common discomforts like back pain. Beyond the physical benefits, it offers a supportive space to connect with other pregnant women, fostering a sense of community and emotional well-being. Always consult with a healthcare provider before beginning any new exercise routine during pregnancy. These classes will include guidance on self-care, rituals, foods and other holistic practices for pregnancy and post-delivery.

Even if you are new to yoga, you are welcome. This is a gentle type of yoga practice. If you have questions before signing up, please feel free to reach out to us via our contact page.

I attended Yoga after a very busy weekend and my feet were killing me. I even had to wrap my bad ankle for class and be very gentle. Summer made sure that I didn't push it and the class helped os much to get the aches and pains out.
